About Knittles
Mavis and Olga are the creators behind knittles, a line of boutique, handmade knitwear for those who want to be both warm and fashionable. Living in Canada, and braving the harsh winters, and cooler seasons, knittles started out as a necessity to keep the heads and necks of their loved ones warm and safe. Since then, it has blossomed into a business where their hope is to adorn every man, woman and child in their handmade pieces.With a background in architecture, Mavis's inspirations come naturally from man & its environment, whether organic or man made. The texture of a concrete wall, or the form of the silhouette of a tree have been inspirations for pieces. Olga, although with a background in design and marketing, is a little more business-oriented and strives to keep Knittles somewhat organized and from too much deviation from "the plan". Olga grew up in Russia where making things with your hands and "from scratch" is a way of life.
